A method of manufacturing a worked-wire product from a wire (<HIL><PDAT>10</BOLD><PDAT>) including, all coaxially arranged, a core conductor (<HIL><PDAT>11</BOLD><PDAT>), an insulator (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>), an outer conductor (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>), a metal-evaporated film (<HIL><PDAT>14</BOLD><PDAT>) and a sheath (<HIL><PDAT>15</BOLD><PDAT>) is provided. The method comprises the steps of exposing a portion of the outer conductor (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>); holding the exposed portion at two positions by gripping with metallic foils (<HIL><PDAT>2</BOLD><HIL><PDAT>a</ITALIC><HIL><PDAT>; 2</BOLD><HIL><PDAT>b</ITALIC><PDAT>) and fixtures (<HIL><PDAT>3; 4</BOLD><PDAT>); bending the outer conductor (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>) about a bending center (S) until it is circumferentially cut off, the bending being effected while applying ultrasonic vibrations on the outer conductor (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>) through the fixture (<HIL><PDAT>4</BOLD><PDAT>); removing the cut off portion of the outer conductor (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>) to expose a portion of the insulator (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>); and removing the exposed portion of the insulator (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>) to expose a portion of the core conductor (<HIL><PDAT>11</BOLD><PDAT>).</PTEXT> |
