PURPOSE:To make, for example, getting off an automobile easy in nighttime by providing an illuminating light in the vicinity of a door knob on the inside of the automobile, which is maintained illuminated during the duration of any automobile door opening step which is detected. CONSTITUTION:There are provided courtesy switches SW1 through SW4 in the number corresponding to the number of automobile doors, for detecting the opening and closing condition of the doors, which are connected to the input of a first AND gate 1 whose output is connected to a door knob illumination timer 2 and the input of a second AND gate 3. Further, the output of the second AND gate 3 is connected to a relay 4 which is in turn connected to door knob illuminating lights L1 through L4. Estimating that any one of the doors is opened, the switch SWn becomes ''H'' and therefore, the gates 1, 3 also become ''H'', causing the relay 4 to be closed, so that all the above-mentioned lights L1 through L4 are lit on. When all the doors are closed, the lights L1 through L4 are turned off after a predetermined time period is elapsed by the actuation of the timer 2. |
