The invention relates to a temperature overheating switch for all combustion engines, particularly in the sphere of motor vehicles. The optical warning device for engine temperatures does not prompt the driver to switch off the engine immediately. The driver attempts to locate the nearest repair facility. Consequence: overheating damage. 1. Cylinder head seal burnt out; 2. Seizing of piston; 3. Cylinder head distorted; 4. Engine block cracks, symptom: temperature overheating switch functions as engine stop control, as in the case of interruption of the fuel supply, advantages: no longer any overheating damage, caused by: 1. Too little coolant (leakage); 2. Defective fan or temperature switch; 3. Cracked V belt; 4. Defective water circuit; 5. Defective water pump; 6. Too little oil; 7. Defective optical warning device (optical temperature display); 8. Overheating due to running with trailer and at altitude; 9. Thermostat not working; 10. Failure of driver to observe warnings; 11. The following spare parts are no longer needed: optical temperature devices.
