PURPOSE:To extend the operating range, by tilting a magnetic bubble memory chip from the direction of in-surface bias magnetic field caused by a bias magnet. CONSTITUTION:The direction of the chip in-surface bias magnetic field caused by bias magnets 6a, 6b is directed to an x' with tilt yokes 7a, 7b, and the direction of the magnetic field by the coil 5 is directed similarly in the direction of x', and both the directions are coincident. The chip 1 is tilted by alpha to the direction x' of the in-surface bias magnetic field of the magnet 6. Then, in the (x,y) coordinate of the chip 1, the in-surface bias magnetic field components of the magnet 6 are HBx, HBy for the x and y directions respectively, and each magnetic field component is adjusted arbitrarily by changing the tilt angle alpha of the chip 1. |
