PURPOSE:To make continuous production of thermally shrinkable tube by a method wherein as a heated and softened unstretched tube is fed between endless belts, compressed air is supplied to expand and cool and cure the tube. CONSTITUTION:A tube 1 having thermal stability is passed through the perforate hole 3 of a heating device 2 and heated, softened suitably. Afterwards, pinch rolls 4, 4' are driven to feed the tube 1 between the opposed endless belts 5, 5' that are heated indirectly by a belt heater 8 and to press the tube 1 keeping the pinch rolls 4, 4' under control of an adjust screw 7 and approaching the endless belts 5, 5' to each other at one place. Under this state, compressed air is supplied from the end part of the tube 1 in its advancing direction to expand the tube. Then, the tube is cooled and cured by the cooling device 9 arranged at the place where the endless belts 5, 5' approach to each other or at the downward place. |
