PURPOSE:To reduce the delay time due to connection and to simplify the control sequence, by selecting a radio base station and the operating radio channel at a mobile set in advance before the operation. CONSTITUTION:When a mobile set 20 is not busy, station information radio waves transmitted from each radio base station in the service area are received at a reception channel control section 26 and a synthesizer 28 while switching sequentially. A reception demodulation section 24 applies a reception level signal to the control section 26 via an AD converter 25, obtains the maximum value of the reception level, stores it in a memory 27, and the radio zone discriminating information and the vacant channel information of the station information radio wave where the reception level is maximum are stored in the memory 27. Further, the control section 26 reads out idle channel information from the memory 27, forms a call signal based on control signal idle channel information at a connection control section 30 and transmits the signal. A radio base station 21 confirms the presence of the use of the channel from the mobile set 20 and transmits a permission signal. |
