PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out the operation of a printing machine at a high speed, by a method wherein a swing gripper is set so as to be just met with a cylinder pawl by the combination of a crank and rocker mechanism and a Geneva mechanism when a swing arm is accelerated to a max. degree. CONSTITUTION:A rocker 5 is swung by a crank 4 but non-swinging parts are slightly present in the vicinity of both dead points thereof. On the other hand, a swing arm 11 is swung by Geneva motion due to roll 9 and, because the center line (b) thereof is tangential with respect to the locus (a) of the roll 9, the rocker 5 starts motion as if it is stopped to impart a time necessary in perfectly gripping a paper sheet 15 by a swing gripper 13. The swing gripper 13 gripping the paper sheet 15 is accelerated to a max. degree as a cylinder 1 or 2 is rotated to supply said paper sheet 15 to a cylinder pawl 14 and this motion is repeated. As is apparent from the foregoing, the mechanism can be simplified and, because shock during the operation is eliminated and noise is not generated, high speed operation can be enabled. |
