Refuse point 1 with a container 3 for catching refuse from a refuse chute 4 and for guiding, via an opening 5 in its bottom, the refuse into a refuse sack 6 located under the container, suspended in a holder 7. The holder 7 can be moved between a pushed-in position where the refuse sack is located beneath the bottom opening 5 and a pulled-out position where the refuse sack is located outside it, so as to be exchanged for a new sack. The holder 7, when moved, brings with it a cover device made up of two opening parts 11,12, which, when the holder 7 and refuse sack 6 are pulled out, covers the bottom opening 5 to prevent the refuse in the container 3 from falling out. The first opening part 11 can be moved horizontally in guides 18 on the container 3, and the second opening part 12 is connected in a swivelling manner to the first opening part and connected in a restrained manner to the refuse point's 1 stand so as not to hit the back wall 10 of the refuse space S in which the refuse point 1 is located when the holder 7 and refuse sack 6 are pushed in. A refuse exposure flap 27 is mounted so that it swivels on the front of the container 3 so that the refuse 26 located at the container's bottom opening 5, when the holder 7 and refuse sack 6 are pulled out when the sack is full, does not prevent the cover device 9 from being brought along, by being held firmly against the front of the container 3 and against the refuse in the refuse sack 6, nor will it be able to fall out of the container 3 via its bottom opening 5 before the cover device 9 completely covers the bottom opening 5. An additional flap 41 is located in a swivelling manner on the container 3 in the area in front of the bottom opening's 5 rear edge so that, when the refuse exposure flap 27 is swivelled upwards, and when the holder 7 with the refuse sack 6 is pulled out, and the cover device 9 is brought along, refuse 26 will not be able to fall out down onto the cover device 9 and possibly fall out through the exposed opening in the front of the container 3.
