PURPOSE:To repair the damaged part of the lining brick in the upper part of a shaft of a blast furnace rigidly by mounting plural pieces of forms suspended through the opening in the upper part of the blast furnace into the furnace in the circumferential direction of the furnace and packing a material for repair in the space formed between said forms and the remaining lining. CONSTITUTION:A charging part 1 is brought down to about 50cm below the remaining lining 3 to be repaired in a blast furnace 2 and is exposed in the furnace, then the furnace is blown down. A suitable number of through-holes 6 are punched apart from each other at a prescribed space in a shell 5 in the circumferential direction of the furnace. Press-feed holes 10 communicating with the furnace inside are separately punched at a prescribed space in the circumferential direction of the furnace, whereafter a cylindricl part 9 is welded and a force- feeding nozzles for feeding a material 11 from the outside of the furnace is inserted into each hole. A slender iron form 7 having a U-shaped horizontal section through an opening part 13 is hooked to the hook 25 of a wire 23 inserted through a manhole 24 and is thus suspended. While a vertical moving device 22 is operated, the form 7 is brought down to the lining surface and is fixed to the shell 5 apart at a required space from the lining 3. Plural pieces of the form 7 are disposed adjacently to said form in the circumferential direction of the furnace by the same operation; thereafter, the material 11 is packed in the annular space 28, thus the repair of the lining in the blast furnace is completed. |
