PURPOSE:To produce the desired compressed air without employing an air/air heat exchanger by providing first inter-cooler and second inter-cooler employing the cold water as the refrigerant thereby controlling the end temperature of the compressed air through the cold water flow. CONSTITUTION:A detector 11 for detecting the temperature of compressed air is provided at the end of the piping, and a controller 12 will regulate the opening of a valve 10 in accordance to the result from said detector 11. The air compressed by the first step compressor 3 is cooled by an inter-cooler 5, and second inter-cooler 9 and dehumidified then compressed by second step compressor 4. Thereafter the branch flows from the after cooler 6 and the valve 10 are combined and regulated to proper temperature upon reaching to the end of the piping thus to eliminate the air/air heat exchanger. |
