摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the temperature in the water at the specified depth remotely, by concentrating ultrasonic waves at specified focal points, generating an intense volume reverberation echoes at the focal points, and receiving the echoes. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic wave pulses are transmitted by transmitting and receiving devices 1 and 2, and the devices are turned into a wave receiving state immediately after the transmission. Then the volume reverberation echoes from focal points F1 and F2, whose levels are a step higher than the volume reverberation echo levels at various points that are sequentially obtained. Detecting circuits 12 and 13 slices and detects the signals based on the high level volume reverberation echoes from the focal points F1 and F2 among the signals obtained by amplifying and detecting circuits 10 and 11, and shapes the waveforms. Timers 14 and 15 measure the time period from the time when a transmitting trigger pulse is generated by a transmitting trigger generating circuit 7 to the time when the shaped signals are extracted by the detecting circuits 12 and 13. A computing circuit 16 computes a water temperature T and a depth L based on the measured time data obtained by the timer 14 and 15 and preset focal point distance data I1 and I2.
