The invention relates to the design of the draw-in region, equipped with conveying elements, for the threshing and separating drum of axle-flow combine harvesters. The aim of the invention is to guarantee uniform and fault-free draw-in of the crop to the threshing and separating drum. The object on which the invention is based is to design the draw-in region of the threshing and separating drum so that the crop conveyed by the draw-in channel is received continuously and is introduced over the shortest distance, the linear movement being converted into a helical movement, into the threshing and separating region as a strip closed in its direction of movement and extending over the entire width of the draw-in device. The features of the invention are that the draw-in part arranged on the end face of the threshing and separating drum is made hemispherical or in the form of a spherical cap, and on its surface is arranged a conveying element extending over the mid-axis, and that the draw-in part is surrounded at a distance by a divided draw-in housing matched to the shape of the draw-in part. <IMAGE>
