PURPOSE:To prevent the sealing property of the heat collector from being damaged due to snowfalls or freezing and also to prevent a light transmissive member from being damaged by a method wherein the structure of a stop metal for the light transmissive member and the sealing structure for sealing the stop metal and the light transmissive member are improved to thereby support the light transmissive member completely. CONSTITUTION:The stop metal 4 is fixed to the side wall of an outer casing 2 of the heat collector by means of a fastening screw 3 so that the stop metal 4 and the end wall 2A of an upper open section of the casing 2 make a U-shaped configuration. Further, one end of the stop metal 4 is elongated along the upper surface of the light transmissive member 1 leaving a clearance from the latter and then terminates to come into contact with that surface. Numeral 6' designates a U-shaped packing interposed among the contact surfaces of the end wall 2A of the casing 2, the stop metal 4 and the light transmissive member 1 so as to fit about the peripheral end of the member 1 and Numeral 7 designates a sealing material such as a silicon sealant interposed in the gap formed among the elongated section 4' of the stop metal 4, the packing 6' and the member 1. Thus, with the above structure, the contact surfaces of the outer end of the light transmissive member 1 and the stop metal 4 are sealed completely by one of the legs of the U-shaped packing 6 and the sealing material 7. |
