A water wiping type intaglio ink composition having magnetic and infrared ray-absorbing properties is provided to allow identification of counterfeit of bank bills, and to realize excellent chemical resistance and alkali resistance while maintaining other physical properties, printability and wiping capability. A water wiping type intaglio ink composition having magnetic and infrared ray-absorbing properties comprises an infrared ray-absorbing pigment, a magnetic pigment and a color developing agent. The infrared ray absorbing pigment is a poly-crosslinked phthalocyanine-based compound. The infrared ray-absorbing pigment has a lamda(max) of 800-900 nm and is used in an amount of 1-3 wt% based on the weight of the total composition. |
