Step with protective covering

A protective covering for steps (10) consists of a particle board cover plate (14.1) with frames (14.2), attached all around, in the shape and size of the step (10). A foamed plastic film (11) is put evenly and continuously over the tread (14.3) of the step and the end faces, and laid in overlapping manner on the underside (10.5), and bonded by means of adhesive strips (12).
