Roller-type counter

In a roller-type counter with number rollers (4-7) arranged rotatably on a fixed shaft (3), which have digits through which light can be passed radially from the inside, an optical waveguide is arranged inside the number rollers (4-7). This optical waveguide is irradiated by means of a lamp (15) from the front end. The numbers are generated by means of penetrations (12) in a black layer (11) on the number rollers (4-7). Underneath the black layer (11), there is first a layer (13) transparent to white and then a layer (14) transparent to green. The number rollers (4-7) are produced from a transparent material as optical waveguides. <IMAGE>
