PURPOSE:To obtain a reel which is robust and simple in construction, and free from maintenance, by providing hydraulic cylinders for extending and contracting segments to the inside of a drum shaft, and controlling the cylinders by a hydraulic controlling device. CONSTITUTION:Cylinder holes 9 and a syncronizing cylinder 21 are communicated by oil passages 16 for contracting a diameter, and check valves 20 are respectively provided to the passages 16 through a distributor 17. In the synchronizing cylinder 21, pistons in four cylinders are connected by one piston rod and are actuated synchronously. By actuating the pistons by a pressurized oil fed through a solenoid valve 22 having two solenoids 22a, 22b, working oils are sent out respectively in the same flow rate and pressure from the four cylinders of the cylinder 21 to push back pistons 10 through the check valves 20, the distributor 17, and the oil passages 16. Therefore, each segment 7 is slid to contract the diameter and is released from being in tight contact with a coil. |
