The filter apparatus contains a block valve (10), designed as essentially disc-shaped, having a central raw water chamber (16) connected to an inlet channel (20), which raw water chamber leads to four reversing valves (12) arranged in a star shape. Four filter cartridges (42) project upwards from the upper broad side surface of the block valve, over which filter cartridges a bell is pushed on from above delimiting the filtrate chamber. Towards the bottom, the block valve is delimited by a backwash chamber (70), which leads via a pulse valve (82) to the backwash channel (80). Each one of the stationarily arranged filter cartridges (42) can be backwashed separately by actuation of the corresponding reversing valve (12), while the other three filter cartridges continue to operate in filtration mode. Using the pulse valve (82), a pulsed liquid flow can be produced through the filter cartridge and the backwash channel, which leads to a rapid detachment and flushing-out of the dirt particles with the lowest possible water consumption. <IMAGE> |
