<p>PURPOSE:To accomplish saving of energy, by controlling the frequency of the output of a generator according to the required output of a main engine. CONSTITUTION:A means 21 for converting the speed of rotation of a main engine and a generator produces an instruction signal when the set output of a main engine steering handle 1 is lower tha the cruising power but does not produce the instruction signal when the set output of the handle 1 is higher than the cruising power. A generator-speed controller 7 converts the electric signal into a signal for controlling the speed of rotation of a generator 10. The speed of rotation of the generator 10, i.e., the frequency of the output of the generator 10 proportional to the generator speed is controlled by the control signal to supply the output having a controlled frequency to a switchboard 11. The electric power is supplied from the switchboard 11 to a motor for driving a lubricating oil pump 12 and a cooling water pump 13 and the fluid is supplied to a lubricating oil cooler 4 at a rate substantially proportional to the frequency of the generator output.</p> |
