Production of reactive red dye (I) requires reactng formazan compound (II), cyanuric chloride, and aniline compound (IV) in an arbitrary order. When Y is an aniline compound containing -OH in formula (IV), it should be esterified by sulfuric acid (X1,X2= H, methyl, methoxy or sulfuric acid; m, =0 or 1; n = 0 or 2 where m+n+l= 2 or 3; and Y=OSO3H or OH). Products show little adsorption loss and strong adhesivity in dyeing to give thick-colored dyed material. The dye performs well in washing tests and waste water treatment is simplified because the dye is not strongly cohesive. |
