Filter with a filter unit 5 containing at least two bodies 17, 18 of a filter material. They are formed from a folded web of filter material with folds arranged so that the medium being filtered flows into the spaces between the folds at one side of the filter material, through the material, and out through the spaces between the folds on the other side of the material. The side edges of the folds are tight against inner and outer shells 6, 22. The filter material bodies 17, 18 are joined by the shells 6, 22 at a distance from each other, so that a space 24 is formed between the two filter material bodies, into which the folds open up. In one shell 6 there are arranged openings 23 through which the medium can flow. The flow of medium will be divided up and flow in a parallel stream through both filter material bodies from the space 24 between the bodies and the space 25 surrounding the bodies. <IMAGE> |
