PURPOSE:To prevent any reduction of the luminous efficiency of a fluorescent lamp device by joining a non-linear fluorescent lamp and a globe by means of a thermoconductive medium at the time when the lamp is sealed in the globe, and providing concaves and convexes on a part of the surface of the globe which touches the medium. CONSTITUTION:A mount structure 2 which supports both a non-linear fluorescent lamp 1 having a U shape or the like and a glow starter 9 is sealed with both a case 8 provided with a ballast 6 and having a base 7 and a globe 3 made of glass or the like, so that an incandescent lamp can be substituted for the mount structure 2. In addition, the curved surface of the lamp 1 and the curved surface of the globe 3 are thermally joined by means of a thermoconductive medium 4 such as a metal or rubber, and concaves and convexes 5 are provided on a part of the surface of the globe 3 which touches the medium 4. Owing to the above constitution, reduction in the optical output of the lamp 1 can be suppressed by making the temperature of the tube wall of the lamp 1 almost equal to that of the outer wall of the globe 3. Besides, the value of the fluorescent lamp device can be increased by preventing the appearance incongruity of the globe 3. |
