摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a nitrogen analyzing apparatus having a high capacity catalyst with heat resistance, poisoning resistance and long life, by using an Ni- Al2O3 catalyst supported by a honeycomb carrier as the catalyst for converting a nitrogen compound in a sample to NH3 in an H2 gas. CONSTITUTION:Ni is supported by a honeycomb carrier consisting of cordierite Mg2(Al4Si5O15), mulite Al6Si2O13 and alumina in an amount of 5-20wt% to form a catalyst 312 wherein a defficient spinnel film comprising nickel-aluminate is formed on the fine pore surface of activated Al2O3 and a thermal decomposition tube 33 held in a thermal decomposition furnace 2 is filled with said catalyst 312. A sample is accommodated in a boat 9 from the sample injecting port 8 of a sample introducing part 1 to send said boat to the inlet 10 of the cracking pipe 3 and an H2 gas is sent to said decomposition tube 33 from an introducing part 11 to convert a nitrogen compound in the sample to NH3 by the catalyst 312 while NH3 is sent to a titration cell 5 through a scrubber pipe 4 and electric potential difference due to the generated variation in the hydrogen ion concn. of the electrolyte is measured by a micro-ammeter 6 to be recorded by a recorder 7. Because the catalyst 312 is excellent in heat resistance and poisoning resistance and has high conversion efficiency, an analytic apparatus having high precisenes and durability is obtained. |
