发明名称 INORGANIC NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To change the quality of a film formed on the surface of a negative electrode to obtain an inorganic nonaqueous electrolyte battery having good discharge performance even in high rate discharge by adding vanadium pentoxide into the battery. CONSTITUTION:In an inorganic nonaqueous electrolyte battery in which alkali metal is used as a negative active material, an oxyhalogen compound which is liquid at normal temperature is used as a positive active material and an electrolyte solvent, and a porous carbon molding as a positive electrode, vanadium pentoxide is added into a battery. By adding vanadium pentoxide, the crystalline state of a film formed on the surface of a negative electrode is varied to be porous and discharge reaction is smoothly advanced. Even in high rate discharge, drop in working voltage or discharge capacity is prevented. The content of vanadium pentoxide is preferable to specify to 0.1-1.0mg/cm<2> per the surface area of the negative electrode. If the content is less than this value, discharge capacity in high rate discharge is decreased, and if the content exceeds this limit, the capacity is decreased by self discharge.
