PURPOSE:To prepare the titled enzyme having no catalytic activity to nitrogen- containing aromatic heterocyclic compounds, purine, hypoxanthine and quinine, by culturing a microbial strain capable of producing specific aldehyde.oxidase, and separating the accumulated enzyme. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Pseudomonas genus, bacillus genus, Microbacterium genus, Escherichia genus, Cytophaga genus, or Sporolactobacillus genus and capable of producing an aldehyde.oxidase having no catalytic activity to nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic compounds, purine, hypoxanthine and quinine, is cultured in a nutrient medium, and the accumulated aldehyde.oxdiase is separated from the cultured product. Any of synthetic medium and natural medium can be used as the cultivation medium provided that it contains proper amounts of carbon source, nitrogen source, inorganic material and other nutrients. |
