N,N-Dialkyl-N'- omega , omega -diphenylalkyl-1,2-ethanediamine compounds which can be used as medicaments, of the general formula <IMAGE> in which m denotes 0-2 and R<1>/R<2> denotes straight- or branched-chain C1-6-alkyl are described, where R<1> and R<2> are not both methyl if m is 2, and their pharmacologically acceptable salts with organic or inorganic acids, and processes for the preparation of these compounds.
