PURPOSE:To eliminate a vibration exciting force of vanes by a method wherein a width of a flow inlet between the steam induction chamber for a low pressure steam and the passage in a turbine is varied and the disturbance of steam is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:The width 9 of an annular flow inlet 2 communicating from a steam induction chamber 1 to a turbine passage 5 is reduced by a projection 8 and the width 9 is narrow where a low pressure steam pipe 6 is connected to the steam induction chamber 1 and defined to be wider as it is far from it. At the same time, it is provided with guide plates 10 causing the direction of low pressure steam flowing from the steam induction chamber 1 to the turbine passage 5 to show a similar direction over an entire circumference of the passage. Thereby, a flowing speed of the low pressure steam flowing into the turbine passage 5 from the steam induction chamber 1 is made substantially equal over an entire circumference of the passage. |
