PURPOSE:To realize the desired formant characteristics easily with simple constitution and to apply a titled filter to a musical tone generating circuit, by adding interstage delay of >=1 cycle time to a part of a digital filter used for a tone circuit where the unit delay is provided. CONSTITUTION:A musical tone signal corresponding to a depressed key of a keyboard 10 is generated from a musical tone signal generating section 11 of an electronic musical instrument in response to an output from a tone selecting device 12. This musical tone signal is applied to a mixing circuit 17 via a musical tone signal distributing and addition controlling circuit 13 based on the control of the device 12 and to a filter circuit 14 performing a prescribed filter operation. The circuit 14 is provided with a main circuit comprising N-stage of filter units L1-Ln inputting the musical tone signal from a line 16, a timing signal generating circuit 21 supplying the operating timing to the main circuit and a filter coefficient supplying circuit 20. The interstage delay of 1>= cycle time is provided in synchronizing with the sampling period to realize the desired formant characteristics. |
