The drain-cleaning tool comprises two opposite brushes (3) extending in the axial direction and movably coupled to a central shaft section (14). These allow the radial distance between them to be varied. This section can in turn be coupled to a flexible actuating member, rigid in the lengthwise direction and in one or more sections (15,16). The brushes can be spring-loaded (11) into the rest position, in which the radial distance between them is at the maximum, being movable in the direction of the shaft section while maintaining their axial alignment.
