PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembling of an enclosed type compressor by a method wherein the suction port of the compressor unit is directed toward the axial direction thereof and the lower end of a suction pipe, penetrating the upper surface of a casing, is fitted into the suction port. CONSTITUTION:A casing consists of an upper cap 1, a cylinder 2 and a lower cap 3 while a suction pipe 14, penetrating the upper cap 1, is brazed to the cap 1 at a place near the outer periphery of the upper cap 1. The lower end of the suction pipe 14 is fitted into the suction port 18a of a fixed scroll 8 with some clearance and an O-ring 7 is interposed in the connecting part thereof. According to this method, the assembling property of the enclosed type compressor may be improved.
