PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to control toner density by only replenishing a liquid developer, and to obtain an image having a good quality without treating a form sheet, by rotating at a relative speed both sleeve which is placed in a conductive liquid developer and is provided with a hollow on the circumferential face, and photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:In a conductive liquid developer 12, the lower part of a conductive rotating sleeve 10 provided with a hollow 10a on the circumferential face is immersed, is opposed to a photoreceptor 1 without contacting each other, and are rotated at a relative speed. When a latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor 1 gradually approaches the sleeve 10, the electrostatic field becomes strong gradually, electric charge is charged into the developer 12, and also when the gap to the photoreceptor 1 becomes narrow, the developer 12 on the hollow 10a becomes a droplet and jumps toward the latent image of the photoreceptor 1, and a visible image is formed. In this way, since the developer is made to adhere to the photoreceptor by electrostatic power, it becomes unnecessary to control toner density, and the developer is made to adhere by rotating the sleeve, therefore, this developing device can be applied to a high speed printing machine. |
