PURPOSE:To shorten the tape required for automatic sound recording adjustment and to form automatically an intermusic space, by providing an erasing head in the position where a tape passes after a sound recording and reproducing head at the automatic sound recording adjustment time and erasing test signal for automatic sound recording adjustment recorded on the tape. CONSTITUTION:When the time of erasure impossibility after the end of automatic sound recording adjustment is elapsed, an erasing head 4 for reverse direction is returned from a forward-side track 1F to a reverse-side track 1R when a point E of a tape 1 comes to the position of a sound recording and reproducing head 2, and running of the tape 1 is stopped, and the tape recorder becomes the pause state. Thus, the test signal recording between points B and D on the tape 1 is erased automatically, and therefore, it is unnecessary to rewind the tape 1 for the purpose of erasing the test signal after the adjustment. The test signal between points B and D on the tape 1 is erased by the erasing head 4, and the test signal between points D and E on the tape is erased by an erasing head 3, and non-signal is recorded between points B and E on the tape 1, and thus the intermusic space is formed automatically. |
