PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a supercharger if a turbine has a plurality of scrolls.SOLUTION: A supercharger 1 comprises: a turbine 2 that has a turbine impeller 6 and a scroll section 16 provided around the turbine impeller 6 and constituting a flow passage of a fluid delivered into the turbine impeller 6; and a compressor 3 that has a compressor impeller 7 connected to the turbine impeller 6 via a rotary shaft 14, the scroll section 16 includes a first scroll 21 and a second scroll 22 that are disposed in parallel in a radial direction of the turbine impeller 6, and when it is defined that a cross-sectional area A of a cross-section of the flow passage at a scroll start position is A for each scroll, a distance of the turbine impeller from a rotation axis, which is a center of the cross-section of the flow passage in a drawing, is R, and a height of the flow passage in an inflow portion to the turbine impeller is b, a value of A/(Rb) of the first scroll 21 is substantially equal to that of the second scroll 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
