<p>The apparatus is of the type equipped with two gripping clamps, each comprising a pair of jaws (15-17, 16-18), which pair is actuated by clamping connecting rods (25-27, 26-28) connected to an operating lever (3) via link arms (9, 10) articulated to this lever on either side of a pivot pin (4) of the lever situated on the extension of a guide bar (1) on which slides one of the two jaws of each clamp, the two clamps being displaced in opposite directions, clamping in one of the two directions of displacement. According to the invention, the guide jaw of each clamp consists of a hollow body (42) which serves as a housing and a bearing point for one of the ends of a pre-clamping spring (46), the other end of which exerts its action on a clamping connecting rod (27) actuating the other jaw (17) of the same clamp. <IMAGE></p> |
