PURPOSE:To reduce the total memory capacity in a printing device and the like, by outputting character patterns through a means, which converts a standard pattern from a character generator into the character pattern of thick characters and the character pattern of thin characters. CONSTITUTION:A standard character printing signal A is inputted to a data control circuit 11 from an upper device 6. Then, an AND gate 12 receives data 1 and a data control signal 1 and outputs data 7. Then a laser driving signal C for the standard characters is outputted from an OR gate 19. When a thick character printing signal A is inputted, a data control signal 2 and a delay control signal are outputted. Data 2 is outputted from a delay cicrcuit 13, data 4 is outputted from an AND gate 15, and data 8 is outputted from a logic circuit. The data, whose pulse width is long, is outputted as the driving signal C. When a thin character printing signal A is inputted, data 5 is outputted from a logic circuit, and the driving signal C, whose pulse width is short, is outputted. Thus, the thin and thick characters can be printed and outputted without increasing the memory capacity. |
