PURPOSE:To increase supercharge efficiency of an engine and improve its output, by providing a supercharge valve, which opens in a compression stroke of the engine to additionally introduce high pressure air into a cylinder, to a supercharge port connected to a supercharger. CONSTITUTION:A 2-cycle engine generates power in such a manner that an intake port 1, exhaust port 5 and a scavenge port 7 are opened to the peripheral surface of a cylinder 6 and a mixture in a crank chamber 2 is sucked through the port 7 and compressed in the cylinder 6 and then ignited by a spark plug 3 to perform combustion. Here a supercharge port 8 opened and closed by a supercharge valve 10 opened at a compression stroke is opened to an upper part of the cylinder 6, and a compressor part 9 of the supercharger is connected to said port 8. While a tank 11 accumulating compressed air is interposed between siad part 9 and the port 8 to prevent pulsation of air forcibly fed to the cylinder 6. In the above constitution, supercharge efficiency can be improved and an increase of output power of the engine can be realized. |
