PURPOSE:To hold a wide suction passage and reduce a pressure drop in the suction passage and a change of pressure while decrease weight of a scroll, by forming a notched part of specific shape with a specific position range to an outer wall face of the external end part of a turning scroll lap. CONSTITUTION:In a turning scroll 2 comprising an end plate 2b and a scroll shaped lap 2a vertically provided onto said plate 2b, a notched part 9 is formed so as to provide a notched face 10 of peripheral curved shape with the lap 2a, to an outer wall face of an external end part 2c of the lap 2a, within a range from a winding finish end face A of the lap 2a to a position B about 180 deg. winding angle of the inside, and between the face A and an optional winding angle position E. Then the lap 2c in the part 9 is formed to a stepped lap shape, and a thcikness of the lap 2c is thinly decreased to t1 from t. In this way, a suction passage reaching a suction part in a scroll fluid machine is always widely held while weight of a whole unit of the scroll is decreased. |
