In order to avoid malfunctions due to corrosion in conventional mechanically/electrically functioning time switches in damp locations, the switching command (optical signal) is conducted to the digital clock located at the protected point by means of optical fibre cables from a spatially separate command unit. The principal application is in the sphere of medical damp locations, e.g. balneological facilities. |
