PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency, by providing a memory which stores the data obtained from a terminal controller to a terminal device and the transferring the data to the central device from the terminal device together with the data stored in the above-mentioned memory. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 4 is operated to give collation to the customer data stored in a file 9 within a pointer face unit PIU6, i.e., a terminal controller through a POS1 functioninig as a terminal device. Then the collated data are stored in a memory 5 and at the same time displayed 3. A transaction of cards is processed after confirming that no fault exists, and the customer data stored in the memory 5 is transmitted to a HOSTCPU10 via a POS control part 2 and a data switching part 7 together with the data on departments, names of goods, amount, etc. of the transaction. This can reduce the load of the PIU6 and carry out the business work with high efficiency. Thus this system is suited to the POS of each counter at a department store, etc. |
