<p>The transmission device comprises first (I) and second (II) groups of input and output gears arranged on either side of a set of input (22, 28, 34, 46, 56,40) and output (24, 32, 36, 48, 54, 42) gears which produce a given speed ratio. The presence of first and second clutches (18, 20) enables both sequential as well as non-sequential gear shifting between the groups of gears and/or the gear located between the groups.</p> |
