PURPOSE:To prevent thermal deformation of an optical cable by an aerial wire by leading the part of the optical cable where it is branched from the aerial wire near a steel tower into a plastic pipe, and fixing the end part thereof with a heat resistant protective material to the aerial wire. CONSTITUTION:A branch part 10 is provided with a flexible plastic pipe 20 consisting of a thermoplastic resin into which an optical cable 14 branched from an aerial wire 12 near a steel tower 18 is drawn and said pipe 20 is led down along the tower 18 and is fixed to the steel tower by fixing means 22. The end part near the lead-in port of the pipe 20 extends along the wire 12, and the part along the wire 12 except its forward end part 20a is covered with a heat-resistant adhesive protecting material 24 and is bound and fixed with the material 24 to the wire 12 by means of a metallic wire 26. Therefore, even if the wire 12 is hit by a thunderbolt and evolves heat, the pipe 20 is not deformed thermally and the thermal deformation of the optical cable is prevented. |
