<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high voltage generating device that has high performance and high reliability by dividing secondary voltage into two parts and lowering the voltage of output pulses and at the same time grounding the middle point of coil in order to avoid addition of DC high voltage output to the divided secondary coils. CONSTITUTION:Divided secondary coils 4A and 4B are wound in the same direction and they are connected in series with grounding at their central point. In this circuit negative secondary output pulse e1 is generated at the beginning of winding of the secondary coil 4 and positive secondary output pulse e2 with the opposite polarity is generated at the end of winding. If the numbers of windings in the divided secondary coils 4A and 4B are the same, both output pulses, e1 and e2, have the same voltage value but opposite polarities. By voltage double rectification the terminal voltage Ec1 for a first condenser C1 is (e1+e2), and the terminal voltage Ec2 for 2nd condenser C2 is (e1+e2)+(e1+e2), and the terminal voltage for Ec3 for third condenser is 2(e1+e2)+(e1+e2). Since with this arrangement the pulse output voltages e1 and e2 can be 1/2n of required high voltage output EH, pulse output can be reduced a great deal, making it possible to realize high order tuning. Performance and reliability is thereby improved.</p> |
