PURPOSE:To make the device compact, in the printing device for two kinds of media having the different sizes, by recognizing the media, which are inserted from a common inserting hole by a recognizing device, automatically selecting a plurality of evacuating parts, thereafter printing from the one medium at first then to the other. CONSTITUTION:A bankbook is inserted into the common inserting hole G1. Then the set of the medium is detected by sensors S1 and S3, and a plunger magnet 13 is operated. Thereafter the bankbook is compressed by a pinch roller 11 and a driving roller 8 and taken in. When the bankbook is recognized by a width sensor S2, a guide magnet 20 is driven, and a bankbook evacuating part G3 is opened. When a wider slip is inserted, it is stored in a slip evacuating part G2 by the same operation. Even though the order of the insertion is reversed, they are correctly stored by the width sensor S2. Then the bankbook evacuating part G3 becomes an open state, the bankbook is taken out by the reverse rotation of a motor 4. Printing is performed at the next forward rotation. Then printing is performed on the slip by the same way. |
