PURPOSE:To improve performance of a cell, by inserting a porous small plate element consisting of at least one of silicon carbonide, zirconium and tantalum pentoxide into a matrix to form the excellent matrix of no suspicion of an internal short-circuit. CONSTITUTION:Powder of silicon carbonide or the like and an aqueous solution suspending polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder or the like are mixed, and this mixed liquid is heated to remove water and added with concentrated phosphoric acid or the like to form a paste state matrix, then a porous small plate element 1 consisting of porous silicon carbonide, for instance, 70% porosity is embedded to this matrix 2. In this way, a fuel electrode 4 and air electrode 3 are never contacted, and an internal short-circuit can be prevented to improve performance of a cell. |
