<p>Process comprises oxidn. of pyridoxine chlorohydrate with MnO2 in acid medium. To increase performance, the subsequent treatment of the pyridoxal thus formed with p-phenetidine, is followed by phosphorylation with 1N polyphosphoric acid, adjusting to pH 12.6 and extn. of the p-phenetidine with toluene. - Cpd. is crystallised by acidification of the aq. phase to pH 1.8.</p> |
