PURPOSE:To prevent printing irregularity, by generating pulses having a frequency corresponding to a type to be printed, controlling a type bar driving motor through a control part based on the number of the pulses, thereby adjusting the printing pressure in accordance with the type. CONSTITUTION:A type kind detecting device 20 detects where type bar 4 has picked up the type which is provided at a predetermined position. The pulse signal having the special frequency corresponding to the kind of the type is outputted from a pulse generator 10. Meanwhile, a timing generating circuit 9 controls a gate 11 based on the rotation of a disk body 3, which is rotated together with the motor 5, and sends the pulses of the pulse generator 10 to a counter circuit 12. The outputted pulses are counted for a specified time period. The counted number is latched, and then converted into an electric signal by a curve correcting ROM 15. Then the result is further converted into a digital value and sent to the control part 21. The control part controls the motor 5 and also controls the printing pressure of the type bar 4. |
