Device for the fixation of bones

The device for the fixation of bones is intended for surgical treatment of open fractures and pseudo-joints in the region of long tubular bones (femur, tibia, etc.) as well as distraction thereof. It comprises two parallel sliding rails (1) connected to each other by transverse pieces (2). The sliding rails are intended to hold displaceable slides (3) provided with bushes (4) in order to align the drills for drilling through bones and holding screws, as well as with openings (8) for supporting compression devices. The movable slides (3) permit the bone screws or nails to be inserted at the particular sites which are most favourable for the treatment and to be fixed there.
