<p>The device for loading-unloading e.g. disabled people into or from a vehicle comprises a folding ramp (1, 2) secured at one end to the vehicle floor (V) about a pivotal axis (10). A tube (6) positioned inside the vehicle contains at least one coil spring (5), the free end of which is connected to a cable (8) extending from a point on the ramp remote from the pivotal axis. The arrangement counterbalances the weight of the ramp so that it can be deployed with very little effort using a handle (9) provided on one side of the ramp.</p> |
