PURPOSE:To enable to suppress heating of a capstan motor by controlling the power source voltage applied to a drive circuit for the motor to the magnitude appropriate for the rotating speed of the motor, thereby supplying an electric power only necessary for the drive circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a slow Hi signal is inputted from a terminal 1, a rotation control signal B is outputted from a motor drive signal generator 4, and inputted to a high speed rotation detector 8 having a capstan motor 5 and a comparator. A voltage switching circuit 3 is operated by the output signal C from the detector 8 for detecting only the b-1 section of the signal B, and a voltage V2(V2>V1) only necessary for high speed rotation is outputted from the power source 2 to the motor 5 in this manner. On the other hand, since the voltage V1 lower than the voltage V2 is outputted at reference reproducing time in b-2 zone, an only necessary electric power is supplied to the drive circuit for the motor. |
