The ignition distributor (10) of a transistorised ignition system with induction-type pulse generator for internal combustion engines has a centrifugal advance mechanism, the first pair of extension springs (20) of which advances the ignition point in a known manner. An additional pair of extension springs (25) is arranged essentially parallel to the first pair of extension springs (20) and designed in such a way that the ignition point retardation due to automatic adjustment of the system is compensated for by advancing it in the final adjustment range. <IMAGE>
